The Major Leagues is a competitive league for the players with the highest skill levels. A hard ball is used. There are limited substitutions, but each player must be in the field a minimum of three full innings per game and at least one turn at bat. A league champion is recognized after a post season, intra-league playoff. There are also All Star selections for local, state and regional tournament play.
Age Requirement:
11 or 12 years old. Players must try out for this league. Players who will be 12 by April 30 of the respective season will automatically be on a Majors team (but still must try out).
Uniform & Equipment:
TLL supplies team jersey, with team name, pants, socks and cap. Player purchases cleats, baseball glove and helmet.
Managers/Coaches Clinics:
Mandatory TLL manager/coaches training is scheduled in February. The League Commissioner will be in contact with all Managers.
Schedule:
Typically, a Majors team has 3-4 events each week (2-3 games, 1-2 practices).
Tryouts:
All players who wish to play in Majors must attend a Tryout session. Not all 11 year olds may be selected for the Major League.
