Tee Ball | 5 | Tee-Ball is an instructional league for girls and boys, age 5, introducing throwing, fielding and hitting a ball and the fun of playing on a team. Before every simulated game, children will work with their coaches on these basic fundamentals. Players hit from a batting tee. | Typically two games per week |
Minis | 6/7 | Minis is a program designed for 6 & 7 year olds as the last instructional league before organized, competitive play. Teaching stations are set up prior to every game to fine tune throwing and hitting mechanics. During the game, coaches are permitted on the field to pitch to their own rosters and reinforce defensive positions in the field. | Spring: Typically, a team has 2 to 3 events in a week (2 games, occasional practices).
Fall: 1-2 games/practices/clinics. |
Minors | 8/9/10 | Minors is the first level of competitive play, although the focus continues to be on instruction and teaching the foundations of the game. There are required substitutions, a running batting order and two innings of mandatory infield play. There is a minimum of 3 practices/games per week. A hard softball is used, and there is player-to-player pitching with coach assistance. This league introduces competitive play, and recognizes a league champion after an intra-league post-season playoff. There are also All Star selections for local, state and regional tournament play. | Spring: Typically, a team has 3 to 4 events in a week (2-3 games, 1-2 practices).

Majors | 11/12 | Majors is a competitive league for the players with the highest skill levels. A hard softball is used. There are limited substitutions, but each player must be in the field a minimum of three full innings per game and at least one turn at bat. A league champion is recognized after a post season, intra-league playoff. There are also All Star selections for local, state and regional tournament play. | Spring: Typically, a team has 3 to 4 events in a week (2-3 games, 1-2 practices).

Uniform & Equipment:
TLL supplies team jersey and socks. Pants are available for free through Blanchette's Sporting Goods (Shelton) in the Spring only. Player purchases cleats, glove, helmet and bag.
Managers/Coaches Clinics:
Mandatory TLL manager/coaches training is scheduled in February. The League Commissioner will be in contact with all Managers.
